And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

Main Idea:
- The Bible is not a collection of disconnected moralistic stories.
- The Bible has a total of 63.779 cross references!
- I can either play the leading role in my Earthly kingdom or a supporting role in God’s Heavenly Kingdom.
- All through the Bible, the story of salvation flows from book to book, and we see wood as a marker or flag post of God’s redeeming grace.
- The Cross was not the End
- The Bible is the one story of how the cross of Christ will redeem a fallen world.
- Since disobedience came from a tree, obedience was placed back on a tree.
- If God can use something such as wood to interconnect in His word, imagine what He can do in your life!
